The Fear of Success Tidbit

Jen Crossing the finish line in the Carlsbad 5000

I’ve come to realize over the past 20 years that most of us aren’t afraid of failing. We’re scared of actually succeeding. Of crossing the finish line. Of THE THING we’re moving towards finally becoming our reality.

I have A LOT to say on the subject, about how this fear plays with our ambition. About how it creates coping mechanisms & funky patterns & feelings of not deserving. And more than anything, how it hits right into our core beliefs around our worthiness.

But for tonight instead of waxing poetic, I’m simply calling bullshit. That the cycle needs to stop, that women in particular need to stop fearing the S word {Success} so much, and begin to step into the grace that our Ambition provides.

Because crossing that finish line isn’t the end of the road, it’s the beginning. And when we finally see that- damn does life become way more fun & interesting 🥇🚴🏼‍♀️🏄🏼‍♀️
