Confession Time

Confession time:

I secretly loathe the uber-popular “Do these 5 things and you’ll be fit” or “Do this 4-week challenge and your body will transform” or “Take this supplement/ shake/ program and you will lose weight!” or “Follow this blueprint to make 6-figures” or whatever the flavor of the month is.

Why do I loathe them?

Because there is never a cookie-cutter process to ANYTHING, and ANY transformation that is sustainable takes TIME.

✨Often, WAY more time than you think it will {but will feel like the blink of an eye on the other end}✨

There are variables that need to be taken into account, things that work well for one but are disastrous for others, and so many things in-between.

This mindset of ‘fixing’ or ‘healing’ in no-time-flat is what has created a multi-billion dollar industry of weight-loss gurus, personal trainers, business coaches, healers, holistic practitioners and the like who potentially carry the ‘secret’ thing that will finally help you figure it all out and get the life, body, career and business you dream of.

I hate to burst your bubble, but this is not only impossible, but is a breeding ground of excuses and toxic behaviors to take root without us even realizing it. I know, because it’s exactly what happened to me and so many people that I know and love.

Sometimes our excuses come masked as preferences or something some expert told us was good for us that actually sort of sucks but we keep doing anyway.

So be brave. Move forward. Try new things. And face those excuses head on every time they appear.

And most of all:

MAKE A COMMITMENT TO YOURSELF

Commit to your growth. Commit to your goals. Commit to your ambition and your success. And commit to your becoming the strongest, most badass version of yourself possible.

You never know what you might learn about yourself in the process 🔥👊🏻🔥

Bonus challenge: Take a moment & list out any & all of these ‘magic solutions’ or ‘quick fixes’ you’ve spent time, money or energy on in the past. And ask yourself how they served you {or didn’t} and how a long-term approach may have shifted your experience. Be brave- the answer is the key to what you’ve been stuck on 🔑
