Why Bother?

Being a writer & business owner I often find myself faced with this question- Why bother?
.
It sometimes can get lonely when you pour your heart & soul into the screen or page or platform, and your words don’t land how you thought they ‘should’. Or maybe it feels like the didn’t land at all with crickets being the only response.
.
It’s in those moments that it can feel like it’s not working, or somehow you messed up, or maybe you should focus your energy elsewhere.
.
Or worse, stop completely 😱
.
Been there, done that, I’m sure I’ll do it again.
.
But the thing that saves me, time & time & time again, is reminding myself that above anything else- I am 1. A writer and 2. I thrive in my business with personal, 1:1 connections. Where the truth of my words go right to the soul of the right person, and magic happens.
.
Sometimes they reach out to tell me so or even hire me. But often, it’s those silent moments where my words fill the wound of the person on the other side of the screen, and change happens. Shift happens. And transformation becomes possible.
.
It’s a tall order to fulfill, but also the most natural thing in the world- for me. And here’s the best part- you have your own version of this yourself. Maybe it’s writing books or screenplays, or acting or videos, or being a lawyer who changes someone’s life, or a portfolio manager who helps someone plan for the future, or a badass accountant who helps their clients feel financially held....
.
Whatever it is you do, this is why it IS important to bother. Because someone is looking for what you do/ say/provide, even if they don’t even know it yet🖤
.
So I’ll be over here continuing to bother a lot- and I hope you will be too 🔥
