Start Small and Build

Some days, you just might not want to do it even if you want to do it-whatever IT is for you. The day was long or you have no energy or you aren’t sure what the next step even IS or or or or the excuses come rolling in.
..
But you take a deep breath, give yourself 10 minutes and keep going until you suddenly find yourself *gasp* having fun, completing the workout, sending the email, finishing the project, having the conversation, writing the sales page....
..
I’m learning the art right now of starting small and building, instead of rushing fast out of the gate. I set some big commitments for myself recently that in theory sounded awesome, but in practice were perhaps a bit-ahem- too fierce to jump into so fast.
..
When this happens we don’t quit, we take a few steps back, re-evaluate and chart the new course forward.
..
For me, I’m realizing I Loooooooooove setting aims/ goals/commitments, but putting a *TIMELINE* on them are certain death to send them straight to the graveyard of forgotten goals.
..
Because if it isn’t fun {even if it’s scary!!} and has even the slightest reek of corporate deadlines, it ain’t happening for this girl 🤷‍♀️
..
We don’t quit, we learn. And learning is a hell of a lot more interesting when we are having fun along the way 💃🔥👊🏻
