The In-Between
At times, life moves so swiftly that we can find ourselves moving forward while still looking over our shoulder at what was.
Not quite where you are going {yet} but definitely no longer where you were.
A coming. A going. A stop. A go.
A dance in-between.
This last year has been my in-between. Right as I was about to launch a big moving forward, loss hit my family & halted me in my tracks.
Since, I’ve been bouncing between joy & grief.
Missing the past & dreaming into the future.
Feeling safe as a seasoned business owner & feeling ready to grow things into new levels.
Slowing things down & wanting to GO.
With my heart burst WIDE open {scarily so most days}- steeped in the contemplation of possibility that lies in taking all I’ve created into the next levels.
The in-between is a POWERFUL place- even when it often feels like we are powerless in moments. Because it’s where we find the Strength & Courage for where we want to go.
It can be so tempting to keep looking behind us for the answers when we aren't sure where the steps we are taking will lead.
But we know even if things look the same on the outside, they are radically different deep within.
And so we take two steps forward & look back.
We move mountains then freak out that they are well- moved.
We seek solace in the things that kinda work, just because they are 'safe' {but not safe, just known}
And we let those old tales, frigid hurts & deep cuts open the wound again. Not because we want to, but because something in us would rather revisit the old, than open up to the new.
This week is a full steam ahead on the new. And while I don't know exactly how it will play out, there is a deep trust, renewed energy & fresh quick in my step as I journey towards it.
Some of the steps look exactly like the old, but they feel oh so powerfully different.
Because I chose them.
Because I trust them.
Because I know that it’s all perfect.
My daily mantra lately has been believing in 𝙁𝙞𝙚𝙧𝙘𝙚 𝙈𝙞𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙡𝙚𝙨. As I look back all I can see is evidence of exactly that lighting my path all along.
To more. To plenty. To a powerful moving forth
